The role of the artist is to ask questions, not answer them

The Scrumping by Weston Gaylord - Circle X Theatre

In January 2026, I had the pleasure of being involved in Circle X Theatre The Evolving Playwrights’ Group, a new play development program dedicated to supporting the development of brave, impossible new works for the stage by groundbreaking and provocative playwrights. Weston Gaylord’s a truly talented writer and I was extremely lucky to take part in this beautiful play about family, grief, and sacrifice. Such a wonderful mix of contemporary language and poetic verse.

Merry Pinchmas! - Independent Shakespeare Company

This past December 2025, I had the opportunity to play a small part in Independent Shakespeare Company’s annual uncensored holiday show known as Pinchmas! It’s always such a blast to work with my ISC family and this was just so much fun. I’m just lucky to be around such talented and hardworking people and they put together a hilarious, naughty, and rollicking good time. The show is hilarious, naughty, and full of chaotic holiday energy, an absolute blast from start to finish.

Dr. Faustus - Independent Shakespeare Company

Again in Summer 2025 I had the honor of working on ISC's production of Dr. Faustus, an adaptation of Marlowe’s classic work. I had the opportunity to play a number of different characters but the most fun was Benvolio. I got to do some stage combat and also throw a hauntingly lifelike prosthetic of Mr. David Melville around. With beautiful, darkly comedic directing from Melissa Chalsma, this was one of the coolest opportunities I’ve ever had.

Love's Labour's Lost - Independent Shakespeare Company

In Summer 2025 I had the honor of working on the Independent Shakespeare Company’s production of Love’s Labour’s Lost. There really is nothing like the ISC Summer Festival. It is one of the greatest joys of my career to be involved with this amazing group of people. I had the incredible opportunity to play Longaville, one of the three lovers who vowed to not interact with the opposite sex. This role was such a unique challenge but I was just thankful to be given the opportunity to be a significant part of the story and to work with some of my favorite people. ISC is such a vital part of the LA theatre scene and I’m grateful any year I get to work with this incredible group of artists.

Twelfth Night - Antaeus Theatre Company

I almost can’t even describe how grateful I am to have had the opportunity to work at Antaeus. They do such amazing work, and they’re one of maybe two theaters in the city that have a mastery of classical works. I played Sebastian and it was such a challenge. Luckily, I had help from the foremost expert on Twelfth Night, Mr. Armin Shimerman, one of the most intelligent, precise, and humble men I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with and knowing. I took this production as an opportunity to learn from some of the most seasoned actors in the business and tried to soak up every bit of information I could. I really couldn’t believe I was standing on stage with this powerhouse of a cast, every single actor was so committed to the story and the level of talent was astronomical.
